Muppets at El Capitan Pt 2- Disney's Soda Fountain & Studio Store

To read part 1 of this post, check it out here!  The Muppets at El Capitan Theater

After seeing The Muppets at El Capitan Theater we left the theater through the exit that leads into Disney's Soda Fountain and Studio Store that is next door.  The store is open to everyone and you don't need a ticket to go inside so it's a fun place to check out even if you're not there for a movie!  It's usually full of items related to what's showing at El Capitan Theater so on this day it was filled with Muppets merchandise!  It was hard not to overdo it on my shopping!

They had an area where kids could have their birthday parties.  Plus they had supplies you could use to make your own muppet.

The Soda Fountain usually has a themed sundae inspired by the film that is playing at El Capitan Theater. For The Muppets the sundae was called Rainbow Connection and I couldn't resist!

I had a great time!  If you have a chance, check out a movie at El Capitan Theater and/or the Soda Fountain and Studio Store.  They're both a lot of fun!

The Muppets at El Capitan Theater

Recently I went to see The Muppets at El Capitan Theater.  I wanted to see the movie there especially after I'd seen that the theater played a bit of a role in the film when I watched it the first time.  The theater is located in a popular area on Hollywood Blvd. and is right across the street from Hollywood/Highland and Mann's Chinese Theater. El Capitan is a gorgeous theater and a fun place to see Disney movies.

Plus before every movie you get to enjoy Disney music played on an organ.

In addition to the organ music, the movie usually includes something before and/or after the movie!  The Muppets had both!  Before The Muppets film started, Miss Piggy and Kermit appeared on stage for a holiday sing-along!  It was so much fun to see them on stage!

I was a little disappointed because everyone was given bells before the movie.  They were for the sing-along and it was fun for everyone to jingle their bells to the music but for me I couldn't get past the fact that people were probably not going to remember to put away their bells during the movie.  Sure enough there was the faint sound of bells during the entire film.  I was able to ignore it though and still had a great time!

It was awesome watching the movie at El Capitan Theater and I enjoyed the film just as much as the first time.  After the movie we went downstairs to check out the mini exhibit.  They had Miss Piggy's movie wardrobe, her dressing room, Kermit's office, and other movie props from the film!

After this we went over to Disney's Soda Fountain and Studio Store!  Check out my next post for more!
