Update & Disneyland Engagement Photos!

The last couple months have been really busy for me and sadly it's affecting how many posts I get out on this site.  I'd like to say this will change but I'm getting married in a few months so it's likely that the number of posts may stay the same until after the wedding.  However, I'll do my best to keep writing whenever I can and whenever I want a break from wedding planning!  Plus I'll try to continue to at least post photos from around the park for you to enjoy!

I'll start off with these pictures!  My fiance and I recently did an engagement shoot with Beverly Hills Photography.  We of course chose Disneyland as our backdrop!  Here are few!

Tangaroa Terrace at the Disneyland Hotel

I went to Tangaroa Terrace last Sunday for breakfast!  Tangaroa Terrace recently opened and is right next to Trader Sam's.  It's tiki themed and replaced the restaurant, Hook's Point, that was there before.

The Tiki/Polynesian theme they have at the Tangaroa Terrace and Trader Sam's reminds me of Disney World's Polynesian Resort.  While I was at Disney World last year I went to Kona Cafe for breakfast and it was a lot of fun and I had a great meal!  Tangaroa Terrace sort of reminded me of that so when I saw they had breakfast I decided I wanted to go and try what they had.  I was not disappointed!
I went with two other people and we all ordered something different so we could try a bit of each.
Here's what I was able to try!

Breakfast Wrap-

This is what I got.  It was eggs, ham, avocado, and cheese wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla with a side of potatoes.  It was delicious and was my favorite of the three dishes we got.  It was a large breakfast and I couldn't finish it.  It's an ideal meal to share!

Breakfast Platter-

My fiance got the breakfast platter.  This was scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a biscuit.  Again another good sized meal!  I tried some of his food and it was all good!  I especially enjoyed the bacon.

French Toast-

My fiance's brother got the french toast which looked too pretty to eat!  I was able to try this as well and it was yummy!  If you have a sweet tooth, this is for you!

I haven't had a chance to try any of the lunch/dinner meals they have later in the day at Tangaroa Terrace but their breakfast was great!  You can get yourself a great meal here before heading to Disneyland or if you don't have Disneyland park tickets or your annual pass is blocked out, Tangaroa Terrace is a nice casual place to go and get a bite to eat!  I really enjoyed my meal.  I'll probably go back for more sometime soon!

Disneyland Hotel's New Water Slides

Take a look at the new water slides at the Disneyland Hotel!  I love that they made them look like the monorail trains.

The door to the water slide area has monorail trains on it too!

Star Tours The Adventures Continue

Tomorrow is a big day at the Disneyland Resort!  It is the official opening of two new rides and the new Soundsational Parade.  The two rides that are opening are Ariel's Undersea Adventure at California Adventure and Star Tours The Adventures Continue at Disneyland.
Last week I was able to go to an Annual Passholder Preview and I must say that if you are at Disneyland this weekend make sure to go on this ride!  It is awesome! Here are a few photos from when I went to the Preview!

Fastpass distribution for Star Tours was next to Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.

Our fastpasses!  Our flight is now boarding!

There was a bit of a wait for the ride at the Preview but there was so much to look at  it didn't feel like much time at all!

While you're in line make sure to keep your eyes open for Captain RX-24 a.k.a. Rex!  He was the pilot on the original Star Tours ride!  I loved him as the pilot but was happy when I discovered who the new one is.  I purposely didn't read about it so it was a fun surprise when I got on the ride (so I won't spoil it for you)!

The new Star Tours is so much fun!  It's in 3D now and my favorite part of it is that there are several different versions of the ride!  I went on it twice and each ride was completely different.   Also there's a chance you might get pointed out as a rebel spy and be a part of the ride!  On our second time on the ride someone in my party got picked!  It was great!

I can't wait until I can go to the park and ride it again!  Don't forget Star Tours is a Fastpass ride so make sure you try to get your fastpass for it.  Since it's opening weekend the line is probably going to be very long and a fastpass could reduce your wait time.
