When we walked into the store they handed us each a garbage bag. They did that at the last summer sale and I absolutely love it. It makes me feel like I'm going on a crazy shopping spree at my favorite store.
My favorite items that I purchased were two Jim Shore Disney Traditions ceramic figures. I'm not a collector of the Jim Shore items but there have always been these two that I really liked at Off the Page in California Adventure and lucky for me they were the two at the sale! I bought them both!

At the sale they also had an assortment of clothes that were discounted. It was after I'd grabbed a few things that my fiance pointed out that there seemed to be a lack of men's clothing on clearance. He was right! There were many clothes for women to pick from but not much for men. I picked these up while I was looking around but ended up leaving them when it came time to try to cut down on what I was going to purchase. They were both 50% off which was a great deal but sadly I had to leave something out of my bag.
Most of the doorbuster deals were gone when we got in the store but there were a couple things that we were able to get, Mickey and Friends Character Bandz and some Kooky pens that were marked down to $2-$3 each.

We also found these colorful stuffed animals for $4 each that we may somehow try to use for our wedding reception.
Finally, I was surprised to find that they had a large assortment of Duffy the Disney Bear merchandise that were all 25% off.
The display was a little sad to me to see all these Duffys in large boxes in the store. I found myself wanting to give them all a big bear hug!
I felt better however when I saw a happy looking couple walking back to the parking lot with two giant bags full of large Duffys! It was such a fun sight to see!
We ended up getting an outfit for the Duffy we have at home and a 2011 Duffy that I had wanted to purchase since 2011 is a significant year for us!
We waited about 15 minutes in line to make our purchases which wasn't nearly as bad a wait as the last two sales we'd been to. The whole sale seemed more organized and all the cast members were very pleasant which I found really impressive considering the large crowd they were helping! I love that we get our annual pass discount on top of the sale prices! On the way out they handed us fans advertising the D23 Expo that is coming up in August!
We finished our shopping experience around 9am and had a really good time! I was really happy with my purchases. We had to get up really early to go to it but the great thing about the Disney sale is there's so many fun things you could do after the sale. We chose to go to the Grand Californian and pick up some Mickey Waffles on the way home. Yum! This year's summer sale was great! I hope to go again next year!
